The Securities and Exchange Commission has declared that Bitcoin is a Security, so the same way they don't get rich over the stock market and gold trading. By regulating them so bad they get strangled by red tape.
Then there's the new IRS interest. Essentially, it dies under the Government getting sick of not getting their cut.

The craziest thing about all these random altcoins is that the only thing giving them any value is this speculative craze. At least BTC and ETH have some actual users. So I don't know if I am ready to start putting money into such craziness when I am still saving up.

Are there any particularly good cryptocurrency phone apps?
I have Coinbase, but that only let's me buy and sell those three currencies. I was wondering if there are any that are more expansive. I see a My Bittrex Wallet and Blockfolio. |

Tbh, BTC, LTC, and IOTA are the only coins that seem worthwhile to me. I haven’t looked into too much of the private coins, but IOTAs non fee is huge and is really going to skyrocket once people find out.
I think IOTA will probably become the 2nd biggest coin under BTC, but I wouldn’t say dump BTC for IOTA. I do wish I bought more when IOTA was under a $1 though.
Am I going too hard?

..and to think I was going to buy a few when they were $17 Me too. But I'm thinking that was before Coinbase and it was too complicated since it would take more than 30 seconds to figure out. :( Still though I got in super late and have almost doubled my investment. It was just a really tiny investment. >_>

I was thinking about Bittrex, but I saw some news articles that said they froze lots of people out of their money by preventing them from withdrawing. Not sure if I want to sign up with them. |
